An energetic verse if ever I heard one, Julie B.! When I first read this prelude to today’s Run 2 Write ZOOM meeting, I wondered where I’d find the energy. A late night visit for Beth at the ER made me question my available oomph and creativity. Once I realized doing this was really another Nike “Just Do It” matter, then I knew I could! Thanks for your ongoing willingness to encourage writers, Julie B. 🤗
Sorry to have missed you both yesterday - I'm such a silly billy and hadn't realised that you've already changed the clocks over there (so until the end of March there's only four hours between us, not five!)! I do make myself laugh sometimes...... I did still write for an hour at 4pm GMT yesterday, though, I promise! 🤣
Hey, no need AT ALL to apologise! Entirely my fault! 🤦♀️ And it gave me such a giggle that I'd got the timings wrong.... as indeed I do every October and every March! I think I'd be a disappointment to myself if I hadn't, because I seem to have made it a running theme! 🤣🤣🤣
I've been missing you these last few weeks - I'll definitely see you soon! Looking forward to it already! xxx
I was thinking the same thing this year since I forgot to put a reminder when we turned the clocks back! LOL. I’m glad we can laugh about it. :) Have a great week and see you again real soon. :)
I’ve reset the alarm for today - I always give myself a 15-minute warning so as to have time to make myself the compulsory cuppa! It’s now going to sound at 2.45pm instead of 3.45pm - I’m looking forward to seeing you! xxx
The intervention at the ER (I watched from start to finish) had “Ouch” written all over it. Beth has been in a state of discomfort as soon as the anesthetic began wearing off last night. She took the day off from work, certainly the best move. I was her home healthcare provider after she underwent a bilateral mastectomy, with reconstruction, ten years ago. Emptying surgical drains, measuring and recording fluid volumes, and sending images to the surgical team have all helped me be calm and enough detached to be objective. Partners in every sense of the word. I know you know that in your relationship with Jeff and as a mom.
Thank you so much Rebecca. We both prefer surprises popping up in more favorable ways. I had the good fortune of observing the entire procedure, noting to self how much pain will come along later. So astute! Driving home I had to ask myself if watching served any good purpose. Small talk with friends over dinner? Even excited conversation with Beth, “You should have seen!” Decidedly not! I’m happy to say she’s doing well, back to work, and feeling much less uncomfortable.
Regarding time changes, I learned this morning of the Prague Astronomical Clock. Constructed in 1410. Calling it a “clock” does it a great disservice. Have you seen it in your travels? Wiki has a detailed article.
Oh Julie, I really made myself laugh this morning when I realised why it was that I couldn't log on to the Write Along yesterday! I was a little late (just gone 4pm here) and couldn't get onto the Zoom.... and it was only just now that I've realised that you've already put your clocks forward over there (ours don't change until the last weekend in March!). Sooooooooo.... the session must have already finished! Silly ol' me! 🤣 Sending love across the pond. Hope all's well! xxx
I was able to sit and type out my dailies on the porch. It was soo nice out yesterday! I heard the creek running down back, a chickadee and a cardinal sing while the wind blew though the trees. How luck I was!

It was wonderful to see you, Gary! Way to show up. :) Oh, I do hope Beth is okay.

Oh, Rebecca! My apologies for not making that clear in the post. I'm so happy you got your writing in. :) We hope to see you again soon.

All the best to you Julie B.!
Hi Gary, I hope Beth is recovery well and how wonderful she has you for support and care.
Thanks for your kind words, Julie B. Beth returned to work this morning and her pain has lessened.
Hi Gary, I’m so happy to hear.
Hope all's well, Gary!

Have a splendid week, Rebecca.
Yes, that was quite some surprise! Well done both of you - I'm really pleased that Beth's not too uncomfortable!
Oooooh, I'm going to look up the Prague Astronomical Clock! Thank you so much for the tip-off - I'll hunt it down on Wikipedia!
A train, a crow, and barking. Course I hear that every day : )
HA! Happy to hear you got outside to hear them all again. :) Thanks Richard.
