Such wonderful show and tell. First, your writing! Inspiring. I could “see” the beaver performing its tail kick stroke. I wondered if beavers perform that stroke with their tails “pitched?” Like a canoe paddle? Maybe a YouTube rabbit hole will provide an answer?

Then, The Bird Dog Move, so smoothly executed. My brain wanted to shout, “Flossing!” I considered the “cross floss” effect from alternating the arms to accompany the same leg? (When I don’t really know what’s going on, I devise a plausible depiction :-)

Question: Is today Gratitude Day but I didn’t get the memo? Why do I ask? Early this morning I read a post from a woman writer/creator who lives on Orkney Island. Way, way north in Northern Ireland. Despite winter weather that chills me just to read her descriptions, and winter storm after winter storm that she animates with her precise wording as wild, angry forces demanding recognition and respect, she today shared a video she shot to depict water in all aspects of our existence. With a tone of gratitude. Of course Elaine and Gail’s offering today put the spotlight on fascination coupled with gratitude.

Without any hesitation I’ll say you served magnificently as the starter’s alert and the pace setter for those who

rose from bed early enough to accompany you on your run. Well done. Very well done.

Thank you so much Gary for reading and your comments. Hmm...gratitude day...maybe everyday? That's cool that so many of us were speaking of that. :)

yes I think the beaver's tail is like a canoe paddle...it was just magnificent to watch so up close.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. :) Keep seeking those SIMs.

Early morning runs

Are like a slap in the face

Nature is teaching. LEARN.

I loved my early morning runs. I was humbled by the awe & wonder of it “all”. The trees spoke to me and I hugged them. Did you know it is estimated that our earth was home to 6 trillion trees. Modern man has destroyed 3 trillion. No wonder we have a climate emergency. Hug a tree, plant ten trees. Thanks Jules. Love your big heart and big brain and infinite courage.

Keep learning! YES Clark. Thank you for this poem and knowledge. That is a sobering fact to learn and yet we must take action...plant more trees is a step we can take for sure and I'm trying to get plastic out of my home (gosh it's becoming more challenging than I thought)... One step at a time.

Thank you Clark.

Everything will be okay. A mantra we can use in so many situations. I need to get out for a country run very soon. The trails got snowed over again but I might try this weekend.

Beavers have been reintroduced to the wild here in UK in recent news, but I've never yet seen one. Very special!

Julie, it is nice to read your words again. Since before, I'm now reading with much more awareness of how people write versus what they write. I liked how you painted a picture with clarity and simplicity; and I felt the moment. It was smooth, smooth as butter.

I used to take my kids biking there, because of the nature and NO HILLS!

My friend Becky M. sent this to me before you did! I share your words with her, and now she is a follower too! She is a teacher and nurse at CEDS.
