Here is one of mine! It's an old one...
There's a green velvet field
on our farm ...
Knee-high wheat...
looks so neat,
Sparkling in the sun...
It's so fun,
to run through.
On windy days it looks like
Ocean waves rolling, rolling,
Tossing to and fro
from springtime winds that blow big, white clouds
across the sky...
Their shadows chasing
each other across the field,
twisting and bending
over the hills.
If I were God,
I could reach out
and stroke the
soft, green fur,
and imagine it could purr,
like a kitten.
