What do you think?

Title for today's poem of the day.
8

Hello! Just a heads up that there will be another Run to write community meet up June 15th, Wednesday from 11-11:30 EST free on zoom. I hope you can stop in to say hi or write with us.

Now let’s get to the poem of the day. I don’t have a title yet—what comes to mind? After listening or reading share your ideas in the comments. And if you haven’t subscribed yet to Run to Write you can do that now.

Poem of the Day:

Fields for miles
Tall grass
Mighty trees
Wide-open space
A road in between

Red-winged blackbirds
Dive, dip—alongside
Birdsong fills the air
Stride for stride their
Presence my guide

Crows curious
Caw-Caw-Caw
Deer looks up
Dashes out of sight
What a delight.

First light—glorious
Comfort covers me
Inhale joy
Exhale worry—
No need to hurry

Space in between
Chaos, calm
Noise, peace
Nature to reassure me

A road in between
will always be
waiting
waiting
just for me.
