I had to think about this a while. Not that some good things didn’t happen this year, but I was wondering what would fall in that category of the best. And I finally realized that I have come to a new understanding of myself. I have started to see things that I have always hidden from myself because I didn’t like them, or they didn’t fit in. And finally I’m seeing them and accepting them not just as things I have to work around, but starting to look at them as gifts. Yeah that’s a pretty great thing. Still plenty of room for that to grow in 2024.

No worries at all. I found this was a question to sit with for a moment or even a week. :) I hope the sun is shining your way.

Jule’s “Run to Write”

Speaks to Everywoman/man

Poems that open hearts....

You inspired me in 2023 to give myself the gift of fitness as I walked/ran this 76 year old body back into shape after a two year hiatus of inertia. It was not easy but so worth it. I can now return to all weather running and fall in love again with Mother Earth and vow to protect her for the rest of my running/walking days. Thank you Julie B. Hughes... Happy Holidays to All. May you All be Blessed with a healthy, happy and thriving New Year...♥️

Another beautiful poem, Clark. I'm truly grateful we have connected. I'm so happy you shared this with us.

I plan to run until my last breath...God willing...and you are showing me it's possible! You're an inspiration to us all. Thank you.

Wishing you and yours good health, joy, love, and peace always.

If I could post an image in Substack comments, I would mirror the image from today’s letter. Thank you for mailing the runner-angel to me! Perhaps she’s guiding my steps? Henny and I have started (light, very, very light) jogging on our after dinner patrol. 😂

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

You are among some of the best things in 2023 Julie! You inspired me to pick up Writing in the Wild and to get my running shoes on again. I will miss today’s writing session but I will think of you as I get out for a jog around the neighborhood in Montréal. Joyeux Noël!
