Lovely, lovely post, Julie - and thank you for the mention! I love the space you hold for us here.
My uplifting song is Popcorn by Hot Butter. It means a lot to me - I remember playing it on a record player when I was tiny, and my brother and I used to dance to it. I'll never forget the occasion we 'skated' to it on our newly-laid shiny cork tile bedroom floor wearing cloths on our feet to wipe off the polish that had been rubbed onto it when it was installed!
Thanks for the mention, Julie! Your poetry, persistence and positive spirit are inspiring. I’m glad if you get a little something from me as well. It takes a generous heart to acknowledge so many others, as you do. Brava!💕
As I was looking for this link and listening to you read your words, his voice and this song came in as accompaniment. I have to say I fell asunder as your steady voice carried me through your story.
Linda, thank you for sharing such a beautiful song! Malakai is indeed extraordinary...what a gift. Thank you so much for sharing the link here so I can listen anytime. :)
Can’t remember the title. Maybe “The goodness of God”. But that chorus “all my life, You’ve been faithful. All my life You have been good. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God”
Oh yes "Goodness of God" I love this song too by CeCe Winans. I tear up every time, her voice is so powerful and the lyrics are beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing today Mombadear. :) I hope you and your family are healthy and happy.
As I was reading this, I was listening to this. Prescient. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhnMSVb0oYA
