I will concentrate on my breath today. When I get tense, anxious, or something isn't going the way I planned...I will concentrate on my inhale and exhale. I'm alive and breathing.
I feel most alive when I am fully concentrating. Multitasking has become the cultural expectation and experience. We have made a wrong turn and must re-assess…EVERYTHING.
I just used the term, “Economy of Utterance,” to describe a writer’s style to a friend. A supervisor during my graduate school training preferred “Eschew obfuscation.”
Call it what you will, your poem today has that written all over it!
Hi Gary, wow what a compliment. Now that I know what "Eschew obfuscation" means. :) What a great phrase. Thank you for being here. I'm learning so much from you.
Today, will be about being thankful. Concentrating on the 'gifts' rather than the 'get'. What I have over what I don't -- too often when I think for a moment, or look away, I realize I didn't needed it in the first place. I give thanks for the community in which we found each other, Julie, and the gift it keeps on giving.
This is beautiful Linda...the "gifts" rather than the "get". Thank you for sharing this with us. Something I would like to concentrate on as well. I'm so grateful our paths crossed and my hope is we will toe a start line together in the future. :)
Thank you for sharing with us. I too need to learn how to give myself grace. I find it's much easier to give grace to others but hard to do the same for myself. Thank you for reminding me of this today. Work in progress.

I love your question
Concentration is a skill
We need to relearn…

I love that you wrote this Clark. I use to think "Mulittasking" was the way...I'm happy I know better now. I'm happy I unlearned that. :)
Powerful. Inspiring!

I can’t recall a day when the compliments for your writing didn’t have “Well deserved” written all over them.
Very generous and kind of you to say Gary. My writing practice is helping me improve which is fun to see! Not only my writing but as a person. :)
Write on!

Oh wow, such a worthwhile nudge to be more present - thank you so much for this perfect prompt! 🙌
You're so welcome. :)
I will concentrate on grace today. Not just giving others grace but learning to give myself grace as well.
Hi Mirtha,
Thank you for sharing with us. I too need to learn how to give myself grace. I find it's much easier to give grace to others but hard to do the same for myself. Thank you for reminding me of this today. Work in progress.
Take good care.
Love your poems! My mind is a blank today! :) Was so glad to see the sun come up this morning!
Yes the sun always helps doesn't it? Thinking of you Faith and I hope you found comfort in the celebration/services for Sparky
