Hi Jack, I hear you. I hope I can help my children with this. I want them to know it's okay to share the joys AND the troubles with their community. Thank you.
Julie, Your words today serve as a strong reminder that “The User Manual For Life” which we receive at birth sometimes has missing pages. Entire chapters? How, if ever, do we find them and weave them into our lives?
I salute you for having the courage and grace to share some of your Shenpa episodes from living life. For which, as today, you share your process for resolution. I’ll call that: Realizing you’re stuck. Deciding what needs done to become unstuck. Then living in the unstuck way that works for you.
Thinking back to the User Manual missing some pages, today’s example describes how we can write the pages to add to our manuals. Not surprisingly, community can provide encouragement for our growing. Brava!
Gary, Thank you and what beautiful questions. I'm beginning to see some of the pages in my manual are outdated. LOL And It's empowering to know we can set down the old manual and start again. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words.
My recovery is almost there. I biked yesterday just to get my legs loose. I'll run a short distance tomorrow. Being 59, I know I need just a tad more time to recover, but I'm getting there. XO
Beautiful piece, my friend. It can be hard to ask for support and share difficult times but once I had a friend who had cancer who didn't share updates with me and I felt left out. I thought I wasn't close enough for her to share hard stuff with me. I think giving people the chance to help is important.
Thank you so much Tracy and for this reminder to give people the chance to know and then let them decide how to respond to the information. I'm getting better at opening up to those who are close to me. How is your recovery going this week? Enjoy this sunshine day. :)
Telling people such painful sad news is tough. I think texting it is ok. I myself have delivered heart breaking news via texts because I didn't want to keep saying it over and over. I've also received heartbreaking news via group texts. If it's the best way for you tell others while allowing yourself the time and space you need, then it's ok. Those who know you and care about you will understand and appreciate you letting them know. I'm glad you found that those who truly care and know you were more than ok with it and also gave you so much support. We are social creatures, support is necessary to thrive. Keep growing, thriving and sharing with the world, you are an inspiration.
Thank you so much Felicia for sharing your story with us and your kindness. I couldn't have made it through without our Saturday long runs! I can't thank you enough for being there for me. You are a great friend. xox
Julia, Streisand was right, singing “People who need people are the luckiest people in the world.” Vulnerability, paradoxically, is humanity’s super strength. I pray we ALL figure that out….Thank you for your marvelous Haiku and drawing.
Thank you Clark. Streisand was right...I need the song on repeat in my head to remind me. :) What if another artist remade that song for this generation now? I'm thinking Dolly Parton because I love her! LOL
Love to see your drawing! 😁 Boxes are hard for me... I’m challenged by scale and dimension.
I abhor drama.
Making calls to tell family and friends I had cancer was one of the toughest parts of my experience and yet... I made it through, stronger on the other side.
Your friend's question is a good one. I also wonder where I got the notion to do everything myself - it's a heavy burden to take along in life.

🙏🏽 By way of honor to the author, who’s good at opening eyes.
Sometimes accepting a gift is a gift itself.
Hi Claudette, Thank you. I learned last year to be a better receiver. For me giving is easier.

Hi Tracy, I'm so happy to hear your recovery is going well. :) I need a little more recovery myself and extra sleep. :) Great job.

Marvelous Haiku
Yes, compels me to rethink
The Lone Ranger myth

Thank you Gail. I resonate...no drama please. :) Looking back, I could have done better.
You are so strong!
There are only about 10 million things I could have done better so far in my life. No doubt there will be more.
I’m beginning to believe that’s the point of it all! 💜❤️💚
Thank you for this Gail.
Me too
That is why allowing another to give is a gift itself.
