Great poem and theme today. We should all be that kid that ran for the fun of it, without carrying all the adult baggage we've accumulated over the years.

Yes! I hope we all have moments each day to look at our childhood pictures and glow! Remember who we are.

Beautiful, Julie!

Naked in the sea, aged around two, sitting in the waves and laughing my little head off. I don't remember the occasion, but oh boy that picture makes me laugh. My uncle gave us a print of it in a silver frame as a wedding present! 🤣

We never had pictures out or up at home when I was growing up, actually. My grandparents had our school photographs on display in old-fashioned frames sitting on the sideboard. Plenty more exist though, in dusty albums.

A fading snapshot of my parents and me at Crane Beach in Mass. That look of delight on my 3-year-old face!

When I was a child, I was restricted because of rheumatic fever. A year of no school, no physical movement. I could sit on a blanket in the yard and watch my brothers run and play. My Dad even carried me to the bathroom. I SO appreciate being able to take my walks every day now!!

Thank you for sharing Claudette. That must have been so difficult watching your brothers play and you had to rest. Praise the Lord for your walks now! Indeed! Have a fantastic day.

Thank you so much for reading and being here. I have this picture on my computer desktop. When I need the sage power empathy (for myself) looking at my childhood picture is so helpful.

The “experts” opine that we are pretty much “programmed” by our parents and society by age 7. If true, then the younger the photo, perhaps the better glimpse our body language gives us of our inner essence.

You have me thinking this morning! Unfortunately, many of my childhood photos are being held hostage these days, so I need to comb through the precious few that I have. I’m not sure any of them fit the bill of this project, but I am more determined than ever now to get my hands on more!
