Caught in a moment

Poem out loud
18

Running along the road
I’m caught in a moment
of sadness
of grief
of anger—
My legs and arms
Pump faster
Maybe this will help
Julie, you did nothing wrong
My teeth clenched
Why am I holding my breath?
Julie, you did your best

Shake out the arms
Loosen the grip
Notice
Just notice
Inhale—air is available
by all means.
Exhale—
don’t hold on too tight
Let it go
Take it in
then
Let it go.

I’m updating the room link for our Friday write together sessions to the Ethos Zoom room. Ethos is a community I’m a part of and is a place of abundance, kindness, and openness.

I’m thrilled they are allowing me to use their room for our write-together sessions. This will allow me to offer an hour to you in the future.

Join us tomorrow from 11-11:30 am (EST) with the updated room link below.
