          Mindset

Count down to
26.2 miles—
Marathon day
Number 11
I’m happy to say.

I will show up—Grateful
to toe the line
It’s where I belong
It’s when I shine.

Thank you body and mind
always working together
There is no separation
And what I tell myself matters

I will honor this truth—
When the pain cave is dark.
What I repeat at that moment
will be the spark.

To keep going—
Right foot, left foot
Eyes ahead.
My body will do
What my mind said.
