What habits nourish your soul?

Poem out loud
20
A date with my hiking boots.

“In the presence of nature, a wild delight runs through the man, in spite of real sorrows.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

               A Date

I recognize the trick
to ease my mind
soften the aches
of my heart
Build resilience
in my bones
A date—
with pine needles,
rocks, mountainous
hardwood trees
their roots
steady
and secure
and moss like an
emerald carpet
welcomes me
A simple path
to anchor my
soul...
Nature
always delivers
Where the truth
is found.
